This results in a fork that works smoother, is endlessly adjustable and plusher to ride! It is far more adjustable and easily tunable to suit varying rider weights, applications and speeds.
Krooztune’s KTM AER 48 Air Fork Midvalve/Rebound Piston Kit
Our KTM AER 48 Air Fork Midvalve/Rebound Piston Kit is designed to offer much better durability over the stock OEM plastic piston and to be far more tunable. We manufacture this new piston from high grade alloys and is hard anodised finished resulting in a top quality super durable piston. The piston shim surface is machined and refined to offer superb shim sealing offering little to minimal bleed by from the oil and best of all, consistent settings every time it is serviced.

THE BIGGEST NEGATIVE FROM THE STOCK BIKE IS THAT IT RIDES HIGH IN THE FORK STROKE. IT SEEMS TO BE CHOPPERED OUT, HIGH IN THE FRONT AND MAKING IT FEEL LOW IN THE REAR.
The adjustability in this shim arrangement gives us the ability to supply settings for Enduro / off road or a junior Mx racer right through to a pro level Mx Guy. After testing the stock piston setup we were limited in adjustability with the shim setting on the OEM setup.
We have changed this back to a more conventional system , much like the Showa TAC fork and many other previous models with adjustable shim float and mid valve spring setup. The kit comes with shim stack set to your requirements.
KTM AER 48 Air Fork Midvalve/Rebound Piston Kittesting results
Overall a massive day with the all new AER 48 Air fork. It is night and day above its competitors in many ways but lacks the adjustment of the 3 air valve setup that the Showa TAC fork offers. These extra adjusters would have cured the high feel to this fork but overall it’s better without the extra adjustment, they are too confusing for the many. We learned a lot and are deep into production of our upgrade parts already. Krooztune Performance parts will be available fast worldwide and easily purchased from krooztune.store or in store shortly.
